Bruins Wives Carnival
On January 5, 2003, the Boston Bruins will host the 14th Annual Wives' Carnival at the FleetCenter.
The event gives fans the opportunity to meet their favorite Bruins while supporting a worthwhile
cause. Fans can play interactive games, take photos and get autographs from their favorite Bruins
players at this exciting event.
Each fall the players' wives and girlfriends vote on a new charity to benefit from the proceeds of
all the Carnival activities. The one major requirement of the chosen charity is that the funds
raised must be utilized in the Boston area, and they must also assist children in some way. To date,
past Carnivals have raised over $1.6 million for local organizations.
This season's Carnival will benefit The Children's Room, an organization providing support and
counseling to grieving children.
A group from the Sports Lodge volunteered at the Carnival.
